Keeping Your Kids Drug Free Kits were passed out at BYU   Guardian Angels International Event

On Sept. 16, the eighth annual "TVA Family Day" invited all families who wish to be welcomed to join in on the "Quest for Health and Happiness... Local Style." Families enjoyed free food, games and activities. Skydiving passes, Hawaiian Water Park passes, various restaurant buffet passes and much more are just a few of the door prizes were given out. Narconon Hawaii attended the event that targeted students of BYU with families and designed to curb domestic violence brought on by substance abuse. The event took place on the scenic North Shore of Oahu near the BYU campus in the town of Laie. Dozens of families attended with many parents graciously accepting the Parent Kit." Narconon Hawaii" "Parent Line" and "Na Lei Lokahi" were among of the many service that providers who set-up booths at the event along with the Honolulu Police Department.

Narconon Hawaii attended the International Guardians Angles convention where the Executive Director spoke along with Lt Governor James "Duke" Aiona.

The organization, which held the International Conference at the Waikiki Gateway Hotel, has chapters in more than 30 cities worldwide.

It insists on a "no weapons, no bias, no drugs" policy, he said. Volunteers don easily recognizable red berets, white
T-shirts emblazoned with "Guardian Angels Patrol" or red jackets so citizens can turn to them for help. Their presence in such distinctive attire can also help deter crime.

"Edgy Lee's documentary was one of the first things that really kicked me off and I thought, as a native of Hawaii, I care, I love Hawaii, it's so much still a part of me," says Kelly Preston, actress.

Kelly and Myron Thompson, chairman of Narconon Hawaii kicked off a drug education campaign with a kit for parents that include a number of booklets and a DVD.
